Co-founder, Director, and Senior Engineer,
MC Countermeasures Inc. (MCCM)
Prior to co-founding MCCM in November 1995, Mr. McDonald
served as a Scientist with National Defence Canada. He held this position in the
Radar Countermeasures section of the EW division of the Defence Research Establishment Ottawa
(DREO).

During his tenure with DREO, Mr. McDonald worked in three major R&D areas: applied research in
digital radio frequency memory technology, coherent electronic counter
measures technique development and the design of a coherent laboratory jammer (CARDS) to serve as a technology demonstration
test bed. While at DREO, Mr. McDonald was instrumental in the development
of several operational electronic counter measures techniques now programmed into the ALQ-162 UDF.
For over five years, Mr. McDonald served as the Canadian National Leader on an international R&D panel
examining countermeasures to surveillance and targeting radars. He received
three international achievement awards in recognition of his contributions.
Mr. McDonald's current position encompasses all facets of the company,
from MCCM's EW consulting services to the design of PRI prediction
hardware and software algorithms.
Scott McDonald holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Ottawa
and a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. |
