The PRED-3 has been designed to work with a variety of PRI patterns. These patterns include constant,
dwell shift, sliding PRI, sine, jitter or staggered, with pattern lengths in excess of 128 positions.
The PRI prediction board is a PC/104 form format. By adding an auxiliary board of the same format, the PRED-3 can be made
to track sine wave modulated PRI patterns.
The PRED-3 has built-in target generation capability for creating leading or
lagging false targets anywhere in the PRI. Built-in technique generator functions include multiple false targets
(from 1 to 255), range bin masking (RBM) and asynchronous pulse rate modulation (APRM). It can also track radar pulse
doublets as a single pulse.
The PRED-3 is capable of working through signal fades caused by antenna pattern nulls, effective jamming or receiver blanking.
It can use time gating to eliminate interfering pulses and prevent the DRFM memory from being overwritten by these extraneous
pulses. With a frequency word input for each video pulse, the PRED-3 can implement time sharing of multiple in-band signals by
de-interleaving pulse trains and tracking them individually.
The compact size of the PRED-3 allows for
easy integration into a variety of host system architectures – from lab to pod-mounted
jammers. |
